Our OSDS Family has grown; we are proud to announce and introduce our OSDS w/ 150 Series including Conveying & Mounting Configuration.
The (original) OSDS Feeder is designed to have 1-3 feeding stations that utilize the Orbetron 50, 100, 150, & 200 Series Disc Feeders. It has the individual feeding streams to dispense materials as close to the screw as possible while allowing the virgin material to flow freely into the screw. Materials that can be processed in the OSDS are bulk materials only such as: granulate regrind, pellets, powders, and more.
Advantages of our OSDS Line:
· The size allows for unique mounting in tight areas where standard feeders will not fit.
· No other auger or vibratory feeder can match the disc feeder’s capabilities, in terms of size, feeding capability, and repeatability.
· All of Orbetron’s Disc Series Feeders are designed to handle bulk materials ranging from powder to pellets, and more.
· Our standard design is aluminum with optional 304 or 316 SS for food or pharmaceutical applications.
· For those materials that have poor flow-ability, we incorporate material flow aids such as agitation & mechanical release devices.
Our newest OSDS operates the same way but with a differentiating feature from our original OSDS feeder. It has an adjustable mounting capability to fit in multiple locations of your choosing rather than the original OSDS feeder, which is designed to fit one specific spot on an extruder or molding machine application. As mentioned above, the OSDS can fit in tight spaces, yet our newest OSDS can fit in other spaces under specific requirements for our customers.
Another difference that must be pointed out, is our Original OSDS is ideal for extrusion and injection molding applications. While our newest introduction has flexible capabilities with an integrated loading capability for conveying materials utilizing the 8020 mounting configuration. Consisting of off-line applications where materials are fed into bins or small vessels.
